WASHINGTON, D.C.– U.S. Representative Glenn “GT” Thompson today announced $1 million for Lycoming County’s new public safety building, which will improve the capabilities and efficiency of several core public services. This investment will assist with constructing a new home for the Jersey Shore Borough Police Department, Citizens Hose Company of Jersey Shore Area, municipal administration, public works department, and the Chambers of the County Magisterial District Court 29-03-01. This new facility will ultimately make these services more responsive to local needs.

"This project is the result of a lot of hard work and support at the federal, state and local level," Rep. Thompson said. "Jersey Shore residents deserve to have timely access to critical community services and the new public safety building will provide a much-needed central hub. I look forward to the positive impacts this will have in Jersey Shore and throughout the entire area."
